The Lord led us to be out West for meetings in the beginning of 2018.  When we say “out West”, you may understand that the West is extensively vast!  We have traveled many miles, beginning in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, at the end of January and stopping for revival meetings in Texas, Arizona, California, back to Arizona, Colorado, back to Arizona again, and now we are settled in at West Branch of the Bill Rice Ranch in Williams, AZ, the gateway to the Grand Canyon.  We have not necessarily kept up with mileage on this journey, but we’ve easily traveled thousands of miles out here.

Highlights of these meetings would include a special evangelistic outreach Valentine Banquet hosted by Pastor Kurt Kramer and members of Open Door Baptist Church of Catalina, AZ, in which at least one adult indicated that they trusted Christ that evening; meeting many new Filipino and military friends in the two churches in San Diego; preaching for the second time at First Baptist Church of Gunnison, CO, for friend and former fellow employee at the Bill Rice Ranch, Jonathan Jones and enjoying the beauty surrounding their area; a special “school night” during our revival meeting at Northland Baptist Church (Flagstaff, AZ) where many family members of students were in attendance and heard the gospel; preaching on at least two Native American reservations and seeing the Lord work in hearts as the week of preaching progressed; and the list could on and on of specific blessings at these individual churches.  And of course, we saw beautiful scenery all along the way!

Another special highlight of the year was the release of our newest family CD Redeemed! We are thrilled that Seth and Samuel were able to join us in producing this recording and are confident it will be a blessing to you as the songs have been a blessing to us.  You can find this CD along with other music resources available on our www.EvangelistTimThompson.com.

As mentioned earlier, we are now in Williams, AZ, serving at West Branch for their summer camp season.  We are wrapping up staff training this weekend and will welcome junior-age campers on Monday.  Following this junior week, West Branch will host a Family Weekend during the Fourth of July weekend, but Brittany and I will fly to Canada to speak for a Family Conference.  When we return, I will be preaching and helping with the last two weeks of camp which are both teen weeks.  Camp staff will leave on July 21, and our family will fly to Alaska on the 24th for five weeks.  We will be ministering at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Kodiak Island with other possible ministry opportunities evolving during our time with my sister, her pastor-husband, and family.  We greatly appreciate your prayers for safety and effective ministry.

One specific prayer request we would like to share with you is that I have struggled with my voice strength off and on now for 5 years.  Unfortunately, the problem seems to be increasing, and we are not exactly sure what the root issue is.  I did see an ENT who gave me a few remedies to try, but I have not seen significant improvement.  Obviously, this is a huge burden since this has limited my ability to sing in services as well as impaired how intensely I can use my voice when preaching.  Thank you for joining us in praying for this need.

We appreciate your interest in our ministry and look forward to updating you in the near future.

Tim
